Our counsellors are, above all, good listeners. A counsellor listens to whatever you’re feeling and thinking without judgment or criticism. With questions, support, and encouragement, your counsellor helps you to discover your individual potential, set intentions, and achieve your goals.
Many of our counsellors have faced their own struggles, including addiction, depression, and burnout. For them, being able to use their hard-earned experience and wisdom to help others facing similar struggles is one of the most meaningful aspects of living and working in the New Life community.
Our core team offers expertise in a diverse range of fields, including Mindfulness Training, Addiction Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, TRE (Trauma Release Exercise) Therapy, Transpersonal Counselling, and Art Therapy. In addition, we have many visiting staff members with a wide range of therapeutic skills, including: Hakomi, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy), Biodanza, Body-Centred Therapy, and more.
